Primary School

At Jet International School, our Cambridge Primary Programme provides students with a strong academic foundation while nurturing curiosity, creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love for learning. Based on the internationally recognized Cambridge curriculum, the programme equips students with the knowledge, skills, and understanding needed to succeed in an increasingly interconnected world.

Our Cambridge Primary curriculum is designed to develop essential literacy, numeracy, scientific inquiry, digital competency, and creative expression through engaging, student-centered learning experiences. All subjects are delivered in English by qualified educators in a supportive and stimulating learning environment.

Subjects Offered

Students develop their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through a communicative and interactive approach. The programme builds confidence in English language use while preparing learners for future academic success in an international setting.

International Primary Curriculum (IPC)

At Jet International School, the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) enriches our students’ learning by connecting knowledge, skills, and understanding across different subject areas through engaging thematic units. Designed for international-minded learners, the IPC encourages students to make meaningful connections between what they learn in the classroom and the world around them.

The IPC promotes inquiry, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking while developing students’ academic, personal, and international understanding. Through carefully designed units of learning, students explore real-world topics that inspire curiosity and encourage them to become active participants in their own learning journey.

A Thematic and Inquiry-Based Approach

The IPC is built around exciting and meaningful themes that integrate learning across multiple disciplines. Each unit follows a structured process of engagement, exploration, research, recording, reflection, and celebration, allowing students to develop a deeper understanding of concepts while strengthening essential skills.

What Students Learn Through IPC

Knowledge

Students gain a broad and balanced understanding of important concepts and ideas across a variety of subjects, including science, geography, history, technology, and the arts.

Skills

Learners develop transferable skills such as communication, research, collaboration, problem-solving, critical thinking, and self-management that support success both inside and outside the classroom.

Understanding

Students learn to make connections between ideas, recognize patterns, and apply their learning to real-life situations.

International Mindedness

A key feature of the IPC is the development of international understanding. Students explore different cultures, perspectives, and global issues, helping them appreciate diversity, respect others, and understand their role as global citizens.

Personal Learning Goals

Throughout their IPC journey, students develop important personal qualities, including:

  • Inquiry
  • Resilience
  • Thoughtfulness
  • Morality
  • Communication
  • Cooperation
  • Adaptability
  • Respect

These attributes help students become confident, responsible, and compassionate learners prepared for an ever-changing world.

Learning Beyond Subjects

The IPC transforms learning from isolated subjects into meaningful experiences that connect disciplines and encourage deeper understanding. Through hands-on investigations, collaborative projects, presentations, and reflection activities, students become active learners who are motivated to explore, discover, and create.

At Jet International School, the International Primary Curriculum complements our Cambridge academic programmes by fostering curiosity, global awareness, and a genuine love for learning.

Innovation and Design with Strawbees

Innovation and Design with Strawbees

As part of our commitment to developing creativity, innovation, and future-ready skills, Jet International School integrates Strawbees, a hands-on STEM and design-thinking program from Marshall Cavendish Education, into our Primary curriculum.

Strawbees provides students with opportunities to design, build, test, and improve their own creations using simple construction materials combined with scientific and engineering principles. Through engaging projects and challenges, students develop essential 21st-century skills such as creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving.

The program encourages learners to explore real-world concepts through hands-on experiences, allowing them to think like designers, engineers, and innovators. By combining imagination with practical application, students gain confidence in creating solutions, experimenting with ideas, and learning from both success and failure.

Through Strawbees, our students are empowered to become curious makers and innovative thinkers, preparing them for a future where creativity, adaptability, and technological understanding are increasingly important.
